Anti- & Pro-Obama

Peter Schiff on why Obama will be a disaster as president.

I have been quite negative on Obama lately, so for the sake of "balance" I will let a Obama supporter by the name of Peggy Joseph explain why she supports Obama

Obama's help to her in paying her mortgage and gasoline will of course come in the form of the help illustrated in the cartoon in the previous post.

To be fair, the woman seems to talk about her gasoline and mortgage as a figure of speech, rather than something to be taken literally..

Well, she probably didn't mean it in the literal sense that Obama would pay for those exact two expenses, but she clearly meant that she expected some kind of hand-out from Obama (not an unreasonable expectation since Obama has in fact promised hand-outs).

Haha funny comparison... You put an educated Peter Schiff, who I completely admire (and who presented a pretty balanced view of both Obama and McCain and added the disclaimer "I think" to every one of his progonistications)

against...

Some no name woman who nobody has ever heard of, and call it "balance?"

Why don't you present one of the many other Obama supporters who actually have some knowledge of economics? Nobel prize winning Krugman, for instance? There are thousands out there...

As a libertarian, I think that Obama can be a far better president in the long run than McCain.

Both McCain and Obama are statist, and Obama obviously even the worse one of the two. So he is no good. But I remembered the logic that Ann Coulter used during the one of her bright moments some months ago about supporting Hillary over McCain.

Using her logic, the difference is that republicans actually can and do oppose Barack Obama if he gets totally out of control. And remenber that when Richard Nixon ("Conservative man with liberal ideas", like his pal Herb Stein used to call him) introduced many statist ideas, there was a bi-partisan support for what he was doing.

It is also good that even the last "America is Great"- mavericks in the Cato Institute stop making excuses for what the White House is doing.

Holgs: *sigh*, I thought it was obvious that I was being sarcastic when I presented the Peggy Joseph clip as "pro-Obama" (It is being spread in the web by anti-Obama activists including Michelle Malkin), especially given how I explicitly linked her attitude to the one in the anti-socialist cartoon in the previous post. Some people don't seem to recognice sarcasm even when it is rubbed in their face....

Aragon: You're presenting the "leninist strategy" I analyzed yesterday.
